I said "yes" when Conrad proposed 19 years ago today. I am reminded every single day that I made a great choice. So many stages...so many changes since that day including the milestone we reached this weekend when we left the kids behind and spent the night away. We figured if the girls could babysit for a 6 year old and a 1 year old for 3 days this summer, they could surely handle 1 night with their 12 year old brother!

After a LONG day at work for Conrad and a LONG day at the kid's sporting events, we really enjoyed the long drive to dinner this evening. Our appetizer was free (coupon for signing up for their email newsletter) and our meal was a smoking good deal because they had a promotion on for buying a 25.oo gift card you saved $5 off today's bill and got a $5 coupon to use off next time's bill. Our total bill for today's meal was $50...but that included a $25 gift card AND a $5 coupon for our next visit. That means we paid about $15 for today's dinner which included 1 steak dinner with loaded baked potato and fries (yes-I think that's strange too!) and 1 smothered chicken dinner with loaded sweet potato and Caesar salad AND deep fried pickles for an appetizer.
